Books By The Yard’s journey began at the Bookbarn International warehouse in Hallatrow, Somerset. We started as a small part of the Bookbarn family, but has now grown into a business of its own with a new physical store opening less than two miles from our last location.
With thousands of yards of books to pack, it was no small feat, but our team was up to the challenge, spending over eight weeks sorting through and boxing up books of every conceivable type ready for our new location, from contemporary paperbacks to antiquarian leather-bound hardbacks.
As well as continuing our interior decoration and bulk book services, our new store offers individual books for purchase as well as literary themed gifts. You’ll find our cosy cabin in the heart of Farrington Gurney at the wonderful Farrington’s Farm, with shelves chock full of books.
Plus, if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask a member of our friendly team and they’ll be happy to help. They can search the database of our sister business Cambridge Rare Books and see if they can connect you with your perfect read.
